Creative Officer, Founder
Charles Acosta, Founder and Creative Officer of The Pinnies, was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As a 90s kid, Charles, like many other children of that era, eagerly awaited Saturday mornings to watch his favorite cartoons on TV. His childhood was heavily influenced by a variety of colorful characters, which helped him to push his creativity in ways that still impact his adult life.

Growing up with Kawaii-style characters, iconic animated series such as Looney Tunes, and the Hanna Barbera animation studios, he dreamed of creating his own magical universe that honored the amazing upbringing he had. This is how The Pinnies were born. They are a fusion of his passion for pinball and his love for illustrations. Charles has been involved in the pinball hobby for over eight years and always felt that there wasn't a space for children to celebrate it. Most pinball themes are designed for adults and very few cater to younger audiences. This is why “The Pinnies,” also known as “Pinball Minies,” came into existence. Yes, he knows it's “Minis,” but with a flair for “Minies.”
